Angus Knight CEO Stuart Pauly took part in OzHarvest’s 2014 CEO CookOff , which was held at Carriageworks in Redfern on the 17th of February. The CEO CookOff is a joint initiative of OzHarvest and Qantas, putting the spotlight on food security issues, homelessness, youth in crisis and Indigenous empowerment while raising much needed funds for OzHarvest.
The event brought together celebrity chefs such as Matt Moran, Miguel Maestre, Peter Gilmore and Neil Perry with CEOs from across Australia to cook together for 1000 people in need. Angus Knight CEO Stuart Pauly worked alongside Three Weeds Chef Lauren Murdoch to cook up a three course meal for the clients of the charities that OzHarvest supports.
The night was a great success with Stuart raising $2,425.00 for the event. Over a million dollars was raised overall for OzHarvest by the chefs and CEOs involved.
OzHarvest is a charitable organisation operating in Australia that rescues excess food from restaurants, retailers, food outlets and corporate kitchens that would otherwise be discarded and delivers it to charities that feed those in need. By supplementing the nutritional wellbeing, dignity and health of at risk communities OzHarvest enables organisations to reduce their food budget and redirect their funding to education and rehabilitation.
