uLaunch and AKG are proud to announce a new collaboration with Specialisterne, an Australian Social Enterprise, with operations across 26 countries creating career pathways for neurodivergent people. The partnership will take the form of training and workplace support for employees, and collaborating on projects that provide greater all-round support for Employers and our own people.
Together, AKG, uLaunch and Specialisterne will co-design programs and systems that improve the employment opportunities for neurodivergent people, while also building employment practices that are more inclusive. We will collaborate to develop greater awareness among our employees and community partners to ensure we continue to create inclusive workplaces and practices where neurodivergent people can thrive.
AKG and uLaunch are committed to continuous improvement in our interactions with all our participants and in the support we offer employers. More than 60% of uLaunch employees identify as having lived experience. This, combined with the uLaunch Board of Directors and Leadership Team selected for their unique expertise and lived experiences with disability, brings an unparalleled level of insight, understanding, and connection to the services we offer.
Mark Burns, AKG Country Leader Australia: “An inclusive workplace, where all people are encouraged to participate and thrive, brings a range of benefits and pathways for everybody – including broader ways of thinking, innovation, resilience and adaptability, greater understanding and collaboration, plus empathy and empowerment for all.”
