Jobfind Centre Australia announces the twelve winners of the 2014 Calendar Art Competition

1 November 2013 – Jobfind Centre Australia announces the twelve winners of our 2014 Calendar Art Competition.

In August of this year, Jobfind put the call out to job seekers we support, many of whom experience barriers to employment, to submit a piece of their own art work with the theme ‘My Home. My Country.’, with the top twelve winners to be published in the 2014 Jobfind Calendar.

Jobfind wishes to congratulate the winner of the competition, taking home a $500 prize, Donella Waters of Ettalong, NSW, with her piece titled ‘My homeland’. The artwork was judged to be the best based on the quality of the artwork and how well the artist represented both their own story, and this year’s theme, ‘My Home. My Country.’

Each year Jobfind runs the Calendar Art Competition as an opportunity for job seekers to use their artistic skills to demonstrate their ability to set goals, show commitment and engage creatively. This year we invited a panel, comprised of key stakeholders and partners, to join us in assessing the artwork and decide on an ultimate winner, pictured below.
