International Woman’s Day – Friday 8th March.
We celebrate resilience today!
MaryJane was previously linked with a jobactive provider and was completing WfD activity at the Homeless Hub. Due to certain circumstances, Mandy Booker (General Manager Homeless Hub) spoke with Richard Hart (Jobfind Customer Engagement Consultant) regarding having MaryJane reassessed. With the support provided by Jobfind, MaryJane attended an assessment appointment at Centrelink and was determined to be eligible for DES Services following her recent circumstances.
MaryJane was commenced into DES- ESS services on the 4th March!
Mandy then approached Jobfind and expressed interest in providing her paid work. This dual partnership and collaboration between the Homeless Hub and Jobfind not only builds MaryJanes’ confidence and self-esteem but also her work capacity and provides her with valuable stress coping mechanisms. Jobfind looks forward in continuing our support to MaryJane and celebrating her employment milestones.
The ongoing support and communication provided lead to great collaboration and an outreach service now to be provided at The Homeless Hub one day a week.
On International Woman’s Day we don’t only celebrate one woman’s success story, but the Resilience and Strength of all involved to create a positive influence when we unite on pathways to employment.
