Global CEO and Founder
Duncan Angus was appointed Global CEO and Founder in June 2024, after co-founding the organisation in 1991.
As Global CEO and Founder, Duncan focuses his efforts on AKG’s broader growth agenda working closely with the Global Leadership Team and our experienced Country Leaders.
Duncan’s vision has always been to assist people and organisations in developing their full potential using the concept of ‘lifelong learning’.
He entered the hospitality industry in 1985, serving in a number of managerial capacities and later focusing on recruitment services to the industry.
Chief Operating Officer
Oli joined AKG in June 2021, initially as Chief Financial Officer and moving to the Chief Operating Officer role in June 2024. He is responsible for corporate development, strategic planning and operational excellence.
Prior to joining AKG, Oli held numerous leadership roles across a diverse range of organisations and sectors, including big-ticket consumer goods, travel, leisure, hospitality and manufacturing.
Oli is a qualified accountant and has passed all three levels of the CFA exams.
Community and Stakeholder Engagement Executive
Elyse Jeffress joined AKG in November 2022 as Chief Operating Officer, taking on the role of Community and Stakeholder Engagement Executive in June 2024.
She is responsible for our brand, stakeholder and community engagement, and our legal function.
Elyse is an experienced Legal and Risk Executive with a demonstrated history of working in the health care industry as well as with not for profits and government entities.
She is skilled in Privacy Law, Risk Management, Intellectual Property, Compliance, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Corporate Governance, and Healthcare Management. She is a Board Member of both Karitane and theField.jobs.
Global CFO and Risk Executive
Julie McCleary started with AKG as Head of Finance in January 2024. She was promoted to Global CFO and Risk Executive in June of that year.
Before AKG Julie spent six years at the University of Technology Sydney where she was Head of Finance for their Corporate and Divisional Teams, helping executives in academia translate strategy into budget and financial goals. Prior to this, Julie spent 10 years at Hudson as Finance Director, managing finance across five countries in the APAC region including an outsource finance solution in India.
Julie’s transformational background and experience across the education and employment sectors, brings important expertise to AKG where she is now globally responsible for group finance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
