Real Futures, one of AKG’s First Nations’ businesses, is delighted to announce we will be supporting parents across NSW and WA through the new Parent Pathways program!
Starting 1 November, Parent Pathways is a free service offering personalised coaching and financial support to eligible* parents and carers of children up to the age of six. It is centred around the individual needs of parents, carers and their families.
Our mentors will help people to set and achieve your personal, study and work goals through a tailored Goal Plan. These mentoring sessions can be attended in person, over the phone or online. If you do attend in person, your children are always welcome!
We will have family-friendly offices and Parent Pathways mentors in the following locations:
- Rooty Hill
- Mt Druitt
- Blacktown
- Lismore
- Grafton
- Ballina
- Kempsey
- Coffs Harbour
- Taree
- Geraldton (Western Australia)
We will also have weekly outreach services in:
- Windsor
- Murwillimbah
- Cabbage Tree Island
- Forster
- Port Macquarie
- Woolgoolga
- Nambucca Heads
*Who is eligible?
- Parent Pathways is for parents and carers who have a child aged under six, are not in paid employment and live in an area where there is a Parent Pathways provider.
- They must also be receiving either a Parenting Payment, Carer Payment or Special Benefit.
- OR are under 22 years old, an early school leaver (don’t have a year 12 qualification) or are a First Nations parent or carer.
