Jobfind and uLaunch (both AKG Employment companies) set themselves a goal at the start of November to place 500 people in employment before Christmas.
They passed this goal with flying colours – providing 822 people with stable employment before Christmas.
Both organisations celebrated this goal with donations to charities.
uLaunch donated $2500 to Sudbury House in Mirrabooka, a shining example of community empowerment and inclusivity. This non-profit organisation offers vital services and support programs, all driven by their unwavering ethos of ensuring that “no one is left behind.” uLaunch Area Manager Ra Grimm had the honour of presenting a $2,500 cheque to Mike Dixon, CEO of Sudbury House, on behalf of uLaunch.
Jobfind Regional Manager Joe Abdo had the honour of presenting a $2,500 cheque to the Arabic Welfare team in Broadmeadows. Arabic Welfare provides services for newly arrived refugees and well-established migrants from diverse Arabic–speaking countries. Their vision is for all Arabic-speaking Victorians to be actively engaged and represented in Australian society. Jobfind places many Arabic-speaking job seekers and collaborates closely with Arabic employers.
Congratulations to Jobfind, uLaunch plus Workforce Australia, Transition to Work, and Disability Employment Services teams for their unwavering dedication to transforming the lives of Australians, one job at a time. Best of luck to all the newly placed employees.
